Modeling of rotors and bearings is a very powerful analytical tool.  All critical rotors in a plant should be modeled to evaluate the lateral and torsional critical speeds and mode shapes, potential instabilities, response to unbalance, bearing loading, rotor static deflection, foundation effects, etc.


​Modeling rotors should be considered another tool in the analysts toolbox. We have used DyRoBeS finite element based software for over ten years and various other programs for over thirty years.
